Business is blooming

BLOOMERS Florist and Gifts in Pialba was born when two women with a passion for flowers got together.

Tracey Meyer says she has a flair with flowers and that Brenda May is an avid gardener.

Tracey was told by her mother that she had always wanted to be a florist, a career path she has pursued since leaving school.

Now 25 years down the track, Tracey is still adorning clients' houses with flowers, making up wreaths for funerals, sending bunches out to the sick or brightening the lives of mothers who have just given birth.

She has owned a florist in Hervey Bay in the past.

“I used to own another florist but then I missed the passion,” she said.

With this in mind, she and Brenda went into businesses together.

They had known each other in the florist world for quite some time.

Brenda's so passionate about flowers she won the Hervey Bay champion garden for rural gardens, says Tracey.

“She's an avid gardener, too.”

They opened Bloomers Florist and Gifts a little over a week ago and have embraced the challenge.

The store offers floral arrangements for all occasions no matter how big or small - birthdays, weddings, in the home and office or just for something special.

Tracey and Brenda deliver everywhere. “We can deliver locally, nationally, or internationally.”
