Buy hot cross buns to help children's hospital services

BAKERY staff will brave the kitchen's heat this Saturday wearing surgical scrubs and smiles, all for a good cause.

This weekend's "Bundraiser Day" will see Bakers Delight bakeries across Queensland donate $1 from every six-pack of hot cross buns sold to raise over $15,000 for the Children's Hospital Foundation.

Hervey Bay franchisee Maurice Maddock said he would match the money raised by his store.

"The community supports us, so we support the community," he said.

"It's just a great way to give back and if you're going to help anyone, help the kids."
