Caboolture, Hervey Bay win the day

HERVEY Bay and Caboolture shared in the spoils at the Sunshine Coast Fraser and Burnett District Touch Championships, hosted by Hervey Bay on Saturday.

Hervey Bay defeated Maleny in the under-18 boys final. The final score was 7-5. Hervey Bay’s Mitchell Broom was named player of the day in that category.

In the under-18 girls, Caboolture defeated Gympie by five tries to one.

Caboolture’s Emma Blanch was the player of the day.

In the under-16 boys event, Hervey Bay defeated Caboolture 5-1. Henry Moore from Hervey Bay was the player of the day.

In the under-16 girls, Caboolture defeated Gympie 5-1 and Lauren Lederhouse was the player of the day.

In the under-14 boys, Caboolture, 4, defeated Hervey Bay, 3. Caboolture’s Alex Alberts was the player of the day.

In the under-14 girls, Caboolture, 4, defeated Hervey Bay, 3.

Caboolture’s Josh Connolly was the player of the day.

In the under-12 girls, Caboolture, 6, defeated Kingaroy, 1.

Caboolture’s Gemma Leach was player of the day.

The under-10 boys division was won by Hervey Bay.

The team played Kingaroy in the final, winning 3-2. Hervey Bay’s Spencer Ambrose was player of the day.

The under-10 girls division was also won by Hervey Bay, defeating Maryborough 5-4. Hervey Bay’s Maddie Jordan was player of the day.
