Caitlyn makes Miss Indy finals
THE LAST thing Caitlyn Bucchanan was expecting was to be crowned Miss Indy when Maryborough’s Lounge 1868 hosted the third heat of the competition.
The Brisbane girl made the journey to the Fraser Coast to support her sister, Rhianna.
But when she arrived Lounge 1868 owner Cathy Kleinberg, who organised the event, managed to convince her to take part.
“I told her she should give it a go – and she won,” Cathy said.
Bundaberg’s Keira Ashley Coghlan was third.
The girls did a fashion parade for those gathered on the night, showing off some elegant, trendy clothing from Maryborough’s Branded Clothing store.
The girls also strutted their stuff on the catwalk in some cute sports-wear and then wowed the crowd wearing Rockstar swimwear.
“The girls did an amazing job and they all looked like professional models,” Cathy said.
Caitlyn took home a $1000 clothing voucher.
She will now represent Lounge 1868 in the Miss Indy finals, held on the Gold Coast.
