Calling all senior performers for talent show at Bay RSL

SENIORS who can entertain are being encouraged to enter Fraser Coast Has Got Talent to celebrate Seniors Week.

The competition will be stat at 1pm on Sunday, August 25, at the Hervey Bay RSL, Hervey House.

Councillor for community George Seymour said the afternoon would provide hours of entertainment and laughs.

"Entries are still open, so if you're aged 50 years and over, pull out your funniest jokes for a comedy skit, or perhaps you could dust off the harmonica for a musical item," he said.

"The event is about being involved, enjoying life and not taking yourself too seriously."

Individual entry is $10 and $15 for groups.

Entry forms can be downloaded from the Hervey Bay Arts Council website www.herveybayartscouncil.com.au, Seniors Hervey Bay website www.seniorsherveybay.com or collected from Bayconnect or the Halcro Street Community Centre.

"Tickets for the quest will be on sale from 1pm," Cr Seymour said.

"I encourage everyone to come along to support the acts. It's going to be a fun and enjoyable afternoon."
