Car blaze in Point Vernon scrub

TORQUAY firefighters were called to scrub fire at around 8:45am on Saturday in Point Vernon.

They investigated on foot down a four-wheel drive track near the corner of North and Martin Sts and found a car on fire.

The Rural Fire Service was called due to access problems.

Dundowran RFS arrived about 9:20am to put out the blaze.

Persons are reported seen leaving the scene and the fire is being treated as suspicious.
