Car crashes into parked vehicle and power pole in Hervey Bay

A 39-YEAR-old woman's car veered off the road before crashing her car into a parked vehicle and a power pole on Sunday.

A police spokesman said the crash happened on Oleander Ave about 12.50am.

The woman was taken to hospital and the police spokesman said investigations were continuing.

And in other incidents, three cars were involved in a crash at the intersection of Bideford and Colyton Sts on Friday night.

Police responded to reports of the crash about 6.20pm.

A police spokesman said none of the people involved suffered any serious injury but one of the drivers was given a fine for failing to give way.

Earlier on Friday, a woman on a mobility scooter crashed into a car at the intersection of Elizabeth St and Boat Harbour Dve.

The incident happened about 4.30pm after the woman failed to give way to the car.

A police spokesman said the woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

She was later issued with a fine for failing to stop for the car.
