CARNAGE: Bruce Hwy, David Low Way crashes, mass power cuts
BREAKING: Wet weather chaos has been sparked across Coast roads with a 4WD and caravan careening off the Bruce Highway, while a car has ploughed into a power pole and cut power to more than 1100 homes.
The 4WD and caravan were headed southbound on the Bruce Highway at about 2.52pm when they slid off the road and into the median strip at Forest Glen.
No injuries have been reported but emergency services are en route to the scene.
Motorists should proceed with caution near Exit 200.
Meanwhile one person was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital shortly after 2pm after a single-vehicle crash on the David Low Way, Maroochydore.
Energex crews are working to assess damage after a hinterland crash.
A vehicle has damaged power lines, cutting power to 1126 homes.
There are 437 homes without power in Witta and 433 in Montville currently without power.
Curramore, Hunchy, Palmwoods and surrounding suburbs have also been affected, with updates on the outage due later this afternoon.
