Coast carols will spread the Christmas cheer

THOUSANDS of people are set to enjoy the festive spirit in both Hervey Bay and Maryborough throughout the weekend.

Two Christmas carol concerts will be held, with Pialba Seafront Oval to come alive on Saturday and Queens Park in Maryborough on Sunday.

Attendees are invited to snuggle up on a rug or bring a picnic chair to settle back and enjoy the entertainment.

Both will have carols, entertainment and food for purchase.

While food stalls, entertainment and Christmas music is set to delight even the hardest grinch to please at the Hervey Bay RSL Bay Carols, the Maryborough Apex Santa Fair and Coast Carols will keep the young ones entertained.

The Apex Santa Fair will have a variety of kid's activities including the Apex Train, kid's rides, ham spins and present giveaways.

The Hervey Bay RSL Bay Carols will be held from 5.30pm on Saturday.

Meanwhile the Maryborough Apex Santa Fair will begin at 2.30pm and is followed soon after by Carols in the Park from 5.30pm until 8pm.

Entry to both is free.
