Cars broken into in the past week within Hervey Bay

SEVERAL cars were targeted by thieves in the past week within the Hervey Bay area.

Cars on Howard St, Pennant Dr and Poinciana Cres were broken into.

Police are urging owners of vehicles to ensure their cars are left secure, with all valuables placed in a secure area and out of sight.

Thieves will target items such as laptops, mobile phones, cameras and wallets via unlocked doors and windows.

Remember to secure your vehicles to help reduce the opportunity for criminals to commit offences.
