Cars target of night-time thieves

A 1994 MITSUBISHI Pajero was stolen from outside a Urangan restaurant on Sunday night.

The owner of the vehicle went to the Pulgul Street restaurant for dinner just after 6.30pm and when left the building about 8pm he realised the 4WD, which had been locked, was gone.

Meanwhile, Fraser Coast police are frustrated that they are again having to remind people to lock their cars.

Six vehicles in Hervey Bay have been broken into in the past two days and officers say a number of other attempts have been unsuccessful because the cars were secured.

The offenders are targeting cars parked outside homes at night.
