Case of bomb accused in court

THE man accused of creating the bombs that maimed an Ipswich teenager and locked down West Ipswich will remain in custody until at least October.

The matter of Glen Charles Dell, 43, was yesterday mentioned in the Ipswich Magistrates Court for a committal call over.

Dell did not appear in court.

A full brief of evidence was requested with the matter adjourned until Wednesday, October 23 for another mention at the committal call over.

He will not be required to appear then.

Dell is facing charges including grievous bodily harm, an offence in relation to unauthorised and prohibited explosives, carrying or placing a dangerous good in or on a vehicle, attempts to destroy property by explosives, manufacture explosives without authority, and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm or transmit serious disease.
