Casey takes Australian title

BREAKING: Hervey Bay Muay Thai fighter, Casey Walters, has scored an emotional win over Gold Coast's Hannah Tufhan to claim the Australian super bantamweight title tonight.

In front of a vocal home crowd, a determined Walters, who said goodbye to her grandfather last week, let her younger opponent do most of the early attacking before letting loose in the third round.

Walters continued to dominate in the subsequent rounds, using her powerful kicks and punches to take the 5x2min fight in a unanimous points decision.

Hervey Bay's Chris Johnston-Fusch didn't have as much luck in his fight, losing to Brisbane's Matt Seden for the Australian Featherweight Title.
