Celeb chef to attend living expo

NEXT weekend the grounds of Hervey Bay's PCYC will come alive with thousands of people attending the two-day Fraser Coast Living Expo.

Celebrity chef James Reeson, host of WIN Television's Alive and Cooking and ABC gardening guru Tom Wyatt will be among more than 170 exhibitors and presenters.

The event, in its 12th year, includes entertainment on two stages and will feature country music singer Sarah Kay.

More than $6500 worth of prizes are up for grabs including a sewing machine and cabinet from Ron Morgan Sewing Centre valued at $1500.

The Living Expo's craft section has grown and will have a marquee dedicated to all things crafty.

Organised by the combined Rotary clubs of Hervey Bay, all money raised at the event stays in the local area and this year will be donated to the PCYC for its proposed Youth Hub Centre.

Admission to the event is $5 for adults while children under 12 can enter for free.
