Champion Susan River horseman to return for show next month

FRESH from his successful tour of the USA, world champion horseman Guy McLean returns home to Susan River Homestead next month to put on one of his renowned shows.

Mr McLean, who has spent more than three years overseas building his reputation as one of the world's best horse trainers, just a few months ago took out the Road to the Horse World Colt Starting Championships for the second year in a row.

He said he was looking forward to returning home to the Fraser Coast to work with his Australian team.

"My Australian team is beautiful, young, strong and ready to perform and I cannot wait to share them with my homeland," he said.

The show will be held on June 22 at Susan River Homestead and will include a presentation of some of his beloved bush poetry.

Tickets are $35 adults, $20 children or $100 for two adults and two children.

Anyone who buys tickets at least one week in advance will go into the draw for a weekend stay at the homestead, valued at $540.
