Changing of the guard for Chamber

MEMBERS and management of the Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce face election at the coming 2011 chamber annual meeting.

The meeting will be held at the Hervey Bay Boat Club on June 29 at 6.30am.

It will include the adoption of financial statements, the appointment of an auditor and a report from the chamber president Bernard Whebell.

Professor Paul Collits will speak on the Economic Development and Enterprise Collaboration, a joint initiative between University of Southern Queensland and Fraser Coast Council.

Mr Collits has worked in regional development for more than 15 years and was appointed research director of EDEC earlier this year.
