Charges laid over alleged indecent treatment of teenager

A CALOUNDRA man has been charged in relation to the alleged indecent treatment of a 15-year-old girl.

It will be alleged that the man used a social media website to connect with the 15-year-old girl on March 23 and following their interaction, engaged in allegedly inappropriate behaviour with her.

The 23-year-old Golden Beach man has been charged by officers from the Caloundra Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) with one count of using internet to procure children under 16 and four counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16-years.

He will face the Caloundra Magistrates Court on April 17.
