Childers Craft Bazaar on tomorrow
A PASSION for the arts will shine when 37 stallholders showcase their carefully hand-made crafts at the 28th annual Childers Craft Bazaar tomorrow.
Childers Craft Bazaar committee members have searched far and wide this year in an attempt to attract a wide variety of stallholders, and they say patrons will not be disappointed.
Members of the Bundaberg Woodworkers Guild, who will attend the Grace Lutheran Church’s bazaar for the first time, will provide demonstrations throughout the day on how to create a masterpiece from a plain piece of timber using a lathe, carving tools and a little imagination.
They will also be on hand to explain various woodworking techniques used to create the works they will have on display and for sale.
Stallholders will be selling a variety of quality hand-crafted wares, including woodwork, patchwork, pottery, porcelain and china painting, folk art, candle wicking, crochet, tatting, glass, shell and pearl jewellery, papika and more.
Only new wares are up for grabs and are not found at the local markets.
Doors open from 8.30am to 2pm. Entry is $3 for adults and children enter free. A home-made morning tea and light lunch will be available to buy throughout the day.
