Chrissy festivities come early

’TIS THE season to be jolly at Janet’s Art with just over six weeks to go until Christmas.

Owner of the art gallery, book store and cafe Janet Reville hosted a Christmas in November evening on Friday kicking off the festive season for a small handful of guests.

Snow flakes dangled above heads and tinsel decorated books and jewellery as culture lovers perused the store.

It was a night for the tastebuds as well with refreshing punch and wine tasting from Marianne Lethbridge’s and Edward Murray’s Vintner’s Secret Vineyard at Childers.

Plumping up diners were home-made miniature Christmas puddings, macaroons, tartlets, fetta and spinach muffins, Thai chicken cakes and cheeses.

Waitress Julie Bennett was kept busy passing around the goodies while Ms Reville was even busier mingling with old friends and art enthusiasts.

Entertaining guests was Lynette Gordon-Smith, otherwise known as Saxy Lady, in the Kent Street stores courtyard.
