From fitness demos to plumbing: TAFE courses showcased

A BROAD range of activities showcasing TAFE courses from fitness demonstrations to plumbing will be on show on Thursday as part of O Week at TAFE Queensland East Coast.

The event will give interested visitors to the Hervey Bay campus an opportunity to check out TAFE's services, meet teachers and learn about what courses to enrol in before classes start later this month.

East Coast manager Paul Wilson said TAFE was much more than just trades, with 60% of courses covering non-trade areas.

Enrolments are open for 2015 with more than 12,000 students across the east coast already enrolled.
