Coast building destroyed by fire

FIREFIGHTERS have fought in vain to save a building engulfed by flames on the Sunshine Coast.

Paramedics and two fire crews raced to Diddillibah to discover a shed well alight just after 6pm.

A neighbour of the Eudlo Flats Road property spotted the blaze and called 000 to raise the alarm.

The owner of the property wasn't home at the time.

Fire crews acted quickly, extinguishing the blaze just before 7pm.

The shed was gutted by the fire, but was discovered to be empty.

Paramedics were called to the scene as back-up, but no medical assistance was required.
