Coast contributes strong Central Crows contingent

CENTRAL Crows will be boosted by a strong Fraser Coast contingent in their representative season next year.

The Crows' Cyril Connell and Mal Meninga Cup teams were named earlier this week, and includes players from the Central Queensland region, which takes in towns such as Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Bundaberg, Chinchilla, Clermont and Roma.

The Cyril Connell Cup is Queensland's premier under-16 rugby league competition, while the Mal Meninga Cup caters for U18 players, with teams based from Brisbane to Townsville.

The 30-man squads will be trimmed after two preseason camps in the New Year.

Cyril Connell Cup: Kodi McConnell, Ryan Fernie, Tahnae McDowell, Ikey Mooka, Brendon Clayton (Maryborough), Ben Hudson (Hervey Bay).

Mal Meninga Cup: Lachlan Gordon (Maryborough)
