Coast equestrian group pays tribute to Pacific Haven mum

A FRASER Coast equestrian group has paid tribute to the life of June Wallis, who was found dead at her home at Pacific Haven on Sunday.

The Facebook group Hervey Bay/Maryborough Equestrian Buy, Swap and Sell changed its cover photo to show two photos of Ms Wallis, one riding a horse, the other with a big smile.

The words on the image read: "Vale - June Wallis, 22nd March 2015.

"A kind heart taken too soon."

Photos of horses dominated Ms Wallis' Facebook page, making it clear what a passionate horsewoman she was.

A friend of hers shared a heartbreaking message on Facebook on Sunday.

"After a great weekend away I find myself pretty heartbroken to hear of this horrible news that a lovely lady I know has sadly passed away, sending my prayers to her kids and family," Kara Drost wrote.

Teniel Dolfin submitted a photo of a rainbow at Burrum Heads to the Fraser Coast Chronicle's Facebook page in honour of Ms Wallis, who worked at the Burrum Heads Bakery.

Teniel Dolfin - This rainbow taken Monday morning is in loving memory of June Wallis - such a horrible event and a great loss for the Burrum Heads community.
