Coen airlifted to hospital with possible brain infection
MARYBOROUGH'S Coen Ashton, who survived a double-lung transplant and has cystic fibrosis, has been airlifted to Rockhampton hospital with a possible brain infection.
Coen's parents said he became incoherent, confused and disorientated about 3am on Thursday.
His parents called the ambulance, but it was decided to airlift Coen for further treatment.
The family is in Rockhampton hospital, waiting for tests results.
Coen is in a stable condition, but is sedated and receiving antibiotics.
