Comedian performs to a sell out crowd on the Fraser Coast
MORE THAN 200 people turned out to see Kevin 'Bloody' Wilson in a sold out event at the Maryborough Sports Club on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
The Australian comedian said he was in Maryborough to help "prevent global boring" at the start of his Almost Awesome tour with his daughter Jenny Talia, which will end in Ireland in March 2020.
Wilson had the crowd in histerics as he performed his favourite songs, old and new, including D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F and Living Next Door to Alan.
Wilson said he first recorded songs on a cassette tape for his mates about his experiences working in the mines in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
In the early 1980s, he recorded Your Average Australian Yobbo and sales sky-rocketed.
He said he never expected to rise to such fame, and a couple of television appearances resulted in people constantly stopping him in the streets for autographs.
"I had people coming up to me wanting my autograph, back in the day before selfies."
