Community groups selling grog to fundraise don't need permit

COMMUNITY groups who sell alcohol at fundraisers will no longer have to apply for a community liquor permit.

The new law is part of a drive to remove red tape, starting from July 1.

Queensland Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie said groups holding low-risk events would now be exempt.
