Council calls for commercial businesses at M'boro airport

EXPRESSIONS of interest have been called to develop commercial businesses on vacant land at Maryborough Airport.

Fraser Coast Mayor Gerard O'Connell said the council was calling for investors across several sectors.

"There are a number of possibilities such as a factory and clearance outlet complex, retail superstore, tourism and hospitality activities" he said.

"Land has also been set aside for the expansion of aviation industries at the airport under the master plan (Fraser Coast Airports Master Plan)."

Potential developers need to enter their submissions by 11am on October 8.

Visit the Fraser Coast Council website for a copy of the expression of Interest documents.
