Council still recruiting to fill vacant WBW board seats
FRASER Coast Council is still in the recruitment stage to fill empty seats on the Wide Bay Water board of directors.
The council opened applications to fill the role of chair and deputy chair about a fortnight ago.
They will now have an extra seat to fill after the resignation of board member Brendon Falk on Monday.
Fraser Coast Mayor Gerard O'Connell said: "we got quite a number of candidates."
This is the second time this year that members of the Wide Bay Water board have resigned.
Former chair Leith Boully and director Gary Storch both stepped down in April after disagreements with the council.
