Council remove tree over two lanes of road west of M'boro

FRASER Coast Regional Council were called to remove a large gum tree over two lanes of a road west of Maryborough in the early hours of Friday morning. 

The tree was reported by a motorist to police at 3am.

Police said while motorists could drive around the obstacle, it was in a dangerous position on Maryborough Biggenden Road about 10km north of Brooweena. 

The tree was removed and the area was made safe.
