IT WAS their ticket to a million dollars but a Fraser Coast couple had to make do with a $10,000 consolation prize after making an unlucky decision.

The RV Homebase held a million-dollar draw, giving 75 people who had recently signed a contract of sale with the company a chance to win.

The winner was called up on stage to pick from 200 envelopes.

"It was a real shame," marketing agent Craig Winter said. "They picked their lucky number 11 and it wasn't to be unfortunately."

Mr Winter said it was the largest money draw RV Homebase had ever done in Maryborough.

He said they had a great turnout to the event, held at the city hall, with 160 guests and music by Tenori, featuring the three founding members of the Ten Tenors.

"They were just incredible," he said.
