Man denies dropping chest of drawers on partner's head

A MAN has denied dropping a chest of drawers on his partner's head during an argument in Maryborough last month.

The Woorabinda man, who cannot be named, was charged with breaching a domestic violence order after the alleged incident.

Defence lawyer Sarah Laikind told the Maryborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday he would be contesting the charge as there were two witnesses with varying versions of events.

"His partner is present in court ... she is supporting him."

Magistrate John Smith granted the man bail until his next appearance.
