Fire burns in vacant Tinana lot before crews extinguish it

SEVERAL fire crews battled a grass fire in a vacant lot on Walworth and Central Rds, Tinana yesterday afternoon.

Maryborough Fire and Emergency Services and two Rural Fire Service crews were called to the grass fire just after 2pm.

The fire burnt through about four and a half hectares of grass before crews were able to extinguish the flames.
