Cultural hub offers groovy tunes

ENJOY a cultured night of music and art on Saturday from 6pm at Gatakers Artspace.

Multi-award-winning chanteuse and ABC Music journalist Nadia Sunde will take her audience on a journey of soulful tapestry sounds.

This stunning concert cabaret will feature songs by Carole King, Marvin Gaye, Joni Mitchell, The Temptations, Harry Nilsson, Elton John, Bill Withers, John Denver, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and more.

Local singer Leonie Kingdom will also perform.

There will be a live art demonstration or display from a local or visiting woodcarver, painter or sculptor at the monthly Gatakers by Night.

The Maryborough Military and Colonial Museum will host its quirky A Night at the Museum Tour, where you will see exhibits come alive.

Take a tour with the Nightwatchman from 7pm to hear stories and tales of the historic port area.

The museum will be open and is free to enter from 6-8pm.

Wood-fired pizza and fresh coffee will be available to purchase around Gatakers Artspace, as well as savoury goods or sweets by Pink Flamingo Catering.

A licensed bar will operate and you can also view the latest exhibitions at the gallery.

The event will be held on August 4 from 6-8pm at Gatakers Artspace, 311 Kent St, Maryborough.
