Minimalist Coffee caters for the paleo market

MINIMALIST Coffee roasters on Bideford St in Torquay relies on the trust of its customers that they will be given a great tasting coffee without added sugar or syrups.

By buying their coffee beans green and roasting them in-store, Minimalist Coffee is able to sell all their coffees at the same price of $3.50.

Co-owner Denis Trotman said most of the customers he's had in the month-and-a-half they've been open have come back for more after tasting their coffee.

"Because our coffee is fresh and not bitter, most people try it without the additives and keep coming back for more - because it tastes great without the extra stuff."

Mr Trotman said they offered almond, coconut, skinny or full cream milk in their coffees.

Minimalist Coffee roasters also sell roasted coffee beans and a minimal menu of food catering for a vegetarian and vegan market.

"We change the menu fortnightly," Mr Trotman said.

"There are three items for breakfast and two for lunch, and we make our own sweets and cater for the paleo market which is very big right now."
