Dawn of the Palmersaur! Clive's clear for 160 dinos

JEFF the dinosaur can expect some new friends - 160 of them - following a Council approval for Clive Palmer's dinosaur theme park.

The mining magnate's dinosaur park and vintage car museum were given the go ahead by Sunshine Coast Council this morning.

Councillors unanimously approved the material change of use for the Yaroomba property needed for the Palmer Coolum Resort's newest attractions.

The development application received almost 200 objections.

The proposal will allow up to 160 dinosaur replicas to be strategically located amongst existing vegetation.

It was scaled back from the original application launched had plans for a tracked car ride and mini golf course.
