Delays on Esplanade due to work on Scarness crossing

TRAFFIC is banked up on the Esplanade at Scarness due to work on the pedestrian crossing near the Queens Rd intersection.

Raising pedestrian crossings are part of the Fraser Coast Regional Council's $1 million project to revamp the Pialba, Scarness and Torquay Esplanade precincts.

The project also includes upgrading existing streetlights and building entry statements in each suburb.

Motorists should steer clear of the area to avoid delays.
