Dismal state of Lenthalls Dam access road

After a week of planning and taking a day off work, we got the kids in the car and set off for Lenthalls Dam on Sunday the 28th of July.

Everybody was in high spirits until we turned off the Bruce Highway onto the access road to the dam.

It is beyond me why Wide Bay Water would spend millions of dollars creating first class recreational facilities at the dam but not maintain the road to access that.

I have been there three times and every time I go the road gets worse.

Why would anyone spend precious taxpayer dollars on great facilities that no one can get to?

Maybe the answer is to spend more money on a helicopter landing pad that one can at least get there safely.

Greetings from a confused dam enthusiast.
