Diverse judging panel members proud

AN independent and confidential judging panel has spent the past few weeks deciding on the winners of each category in the 2011 Sprake Fraser Coast 2011 Business Awards.

The panel of eight judges was made up of representatives from the Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Tiaro and Burrum District Chambers of Commerce, Fraser Coast Regional Council and respected local business people.

“The make-up of the judging panel was specifically designed to allow a fair and even process,” Chronicle media sales manager Erin Sorrensen said.

She said each of the judges was proud and excited to be part of the 2011 business awards.

“A lot of hard work has gone into judging and organising the business awards.

“Each and every business nominated should be really proud of themselves – our readers and your customers have nominated you as one of the best in your field.

“Each business should take away a sense of pride – even if they don't take away the trophy on the night.”

The winner of each category will then be eligible to be selected as the winner of the Business of the Year Award.
