Man arrested after three break-ins on Grevillea St

AFTER a series of break-ins on Grevillea St at Kawungan on Monday, the police dog squad found a man allegedly hiding in a shed.

Three Grevillea St home owners reported break-ins at their properties between 8am and 10am.

Police attended but could not find any trace of the alleged offender.

The dog squad was called in to assist in the search.

"At 12.45pm, police received a call from a resident in the street to say (a man) was hiding in a shed," Sgt Tyson said.

Hervey Bay Police Sergeant Jules Tyson said a chainsaw and drills had been stolen and pawned at Cash Converters.

Police charged a Urangan man with enter premise, fraud and drug possession.

He was held in custody and will face Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
