Fraser Lions Club is a busy and jovial bunch

THE Fraser Lions Club does a wonderful job delivering Christmas cakes and raising funds for various charities within the area.

Publicity officer Bruce Taylor said the club was a jovial and busy one.

"The club meets twice a month at Kondari Resort where we have a meal and conduct our interesting and short meetings and we have several interesting guest speakers throughout the year," Bruce said.

"We sell chips, burgers, soft drinks at all the whale festivities and also at the seafood festival plus we cater at the Light the Night, Relay for Life plus many others.

"We hold our own pier festival in September each year and in November we start our Lions Christmas cake run with Santa and his helpers and we try to cover the whole of Hervey Bay in six weeks."

While some of us have the pleasure of taking a break during the Christmas-New Year period, the club keeps on going with dinner and a board meeting throughout the festive season.

To join the Fraser Lions Club, phone Mr Taylor on 4128 2940.
