Donald's key man threatens China

THE nominee for US secretary of state is up for serious confrontation with China, saying it should be denied access to islands it has built and fortified in the disputed South China Sea. Rex Tillerson told his confirmation hearing by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that China's island program was "akin to Russia's taking Crimea” from Ukraine. Asked if he supported a more aggressive approach to China, he said: "We're going to have to send China a clear signal that the island building stops and your access to those islands is not going to be allowed.”
