Drink-driver crashes into wall on the Esplanade

WHILE most people attended dawn Anzac services, Hervey Bay police were called to a crash involving a drink-driver and a wall.

Police said a 31-year-old man crashed into a wall at the corner of Taylor St and Charlton Esp in Pialba about 5am.

He had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.226%, police said.

There was minor damage to the car and the wall.

The man is schedulted to appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on May 28.
