Police appeal for dash cam vision following fatal crash

LATEST: The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for public assistance following a fatal crash at Wacol yesterday.

The 23-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died when his vehicle crashed into a tree on Wacol Station Road at around 3pm.

Officers are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident to contact them.

Additionally, anyone with dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident is urged to come forward.

 

EARLIER: A 23-year-old man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash at Wacol this afternoon.

Initial information suggest that shortly before 3pm a single vehicle crashed into a tree on Wacol Station Road.

The driver, a 23-year-old River Hills man, was taken to hospital but was pronounced deceased shortly after.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area where possible.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
