Drivers stay sober over weekend

POLICE conducted 60 random breath tests on Hervey Bay motorists as part of the Operation Unite crackdown on alcohol-fuelled crime at the weekend but not one person was over the limit.

Hervey Bay Police Sergeant Dave Dansie said it seemed the message about behaving responsibly when drinking alcohol might be getting through.

Three liquor infringement notices and six notices to appear in court for public nuisance offences were issued and 10 tip out powers were enforced.
