Thieves kick-in toilet door and smash wall at driving range

THE popular Hervey Bay House of Golf driving range was robbed on Thursday night.

Thieves kicked the door in on the side toilets before smashing the plasterboard wall and gaining access into the rear office.

House of Golf professional Stephen Taylor estimated the thieves took about $3000 cash and said it didn't appear anything else was stolen.

Police are investigating the offence.

Mr Taylor said the driving range had not been broken into for 13 years.
