Drug raid exposes dealer

SELLING marijuana for profit didn’t pay off for Bradley Keith Shaw.

The Pialba man was charged with possessing and supplying cannabis and possessing utensils after searches of his home on June 24 and August 7.

On the first raid police found more than 15 grams of cannabis, $960 cash, a bong, grinder and electronic scales.

Shaw admitted to using the drug.

On the second search police found cannabis and a bong.

Shaw pleaded guilty in Hervey Bay Magistrates Court to eight drug charges and was sentenced to two years probation.

The court heard he had mental health issues and had been getting help from a drug counsellor to try to beat his drug problem.

Magistrate Graeme Tatnell told Shaw to get away from the drug.

“Prolonged use of this drug will absolutely destroy you,” Mr Tatnell said.
