Drugs, guns and cash uncovered in early morning raid
POLICE uncovered handguns, cash and drugs in raids on two Nanango properties early Thursday morning.
Senior Sergeant Duane Frank said three people had been charged in relation to the finds.
At one property on Parsons Rd in West Nanango, police uncovered amphetamines, acid squares, and drug utensils.
Police also found $29,000 cash.
A 33-year-old Brisbane man was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and drug utensils.
A 37-year-old Nanango woman was also charged with possessing dangerous drug utensils.In a separate raid on Chappel Rd police uncovered two semi-automatic pistols, ammunition and drug utensils.
At that property, a 52-year-old Nanango man was charged with possessing a concealable firearm and dangerous drug utensils.
Snr Sgt Frank said it was common to uncover unregistered firearms during drug-related raids.
"It's common to find guns during drug searches," he said.
"We will be relentless in our pursuit of people in communities who are producing or supplying drugs to other people."
