Duties and committees allocated to councillors

COUNCILLORS have been allocated committees to sit on in an effort to connect with the community.

Councillors Stuart Taylor, George Seymour and Chris Loft are on the audit committee while Rolf Light has relinquished his role after serving on it in the previous council.

The audit committee will focus on analysing the council's finances.

James Hansen, Anne Maddern and Cr Loft will lead the agriculture committee, which Cr Loft has touted as the next major industry on the Coast.

Cr Loft is the representative from the council to Wide Bay Water.

Darren Everard and Cr Taylor, who was the former tourism councillor will remain in charge of the tourism advisory group.
