  • WHAT: Take time out to watch the Maryborough Sailing Club's 84th Easter Regatta, which will launch from its clubhouse at Scarness, Hervey Bay, over three days.

FISHING COMPS

POONA

  • WHEN: Midnight Friday to Sunday
  • WHERE: Poona Centenary Hall, Boronia Dr
  • WHAT: Poona Family Fishing Competition: food, bar, draws, raffle and live band on the Saturday and presentations from 5.30pm on Sunday
  • COST: $18 for 14 years and over, $5 for 14 years and under

BURRUM HEADS

  • WHEN: From 7am Friday to Sunday
  • WHERE: Lion's Park, Burrum Heads
  • WHAT: Burrum Heads Amateur Fishing Comp
  • COST: Seniors $25, juniors 15 years or under $5

EASTER FESTIVAL

  • WHEN: Saturday
  • WHERE: Scarness Park
  • WHAT: Easter Bunny, Shaun the Sheep, Olaf the Snowman, Peppa Pig will entertain guests of all ages, with local entertainers, an Easter Bonnet Parade, craft tents, market stalls and a sausage sizzle.
  • COST: Free

  • WHAT: Stalls include charms, crinkle tops and silk embroidery.

BURRUM HEADS

  • WHAT: Easter Market, lots of craft and goodies

PIER UP-MARKETS

  • WHEN: Saturday, 8am-1pm
  • WHERE: Pier Park, Urangan
  • WHAT: As it's the Easter long weekend, market stallholders will come out of the woodwork to bring shoppers a big line-up of fresh fruit and vegetables at Urban Farm.

HOWARD

  • WHERE: Burrum District Community centre, 56 Steley St, Howard
  • WHAT: They say it's one of the friendliest markets on the coast. Come and see for yourself. There's more than 100 stalls with great variety.

  • WHAT: Take a leisurely stroll around these iconic country markets.

SUNDAY IN THE PARK

  • WHERE: Queens Park, Richmond St, Maryborough
  • WHAT: Easter Sunday in the Park with Melsa's miniature trains and the Mary Ann steam train, activities and food.

SUNDAY RIVERSIDE

  • WHAT: Sunday Riverside with live entertainment and kids activities and a licensed restaurant
