Eight spots you can get free WiFi on the Fraser Coast

WHEN you're out and about there are times when you just need to get online for free.

Whether it be that you've reached your data limit or Telstra is down again, your home internet is being a pain or maybe the hotel you're staying at charges $5 an hour to connect to the net.

We've sussed out some of the hot spots on the Fraser Coast where you can connect to Wi-Fi for free.

1. Pialba Place.
There is a dedicated break out zone called the 'green room' where you can chill out and get on the net for free.

2. Maryborough and Hervey Bay visitor information centres.
We're told visitors to the centre can get on the net with the first hour free.

3. The library
If you want to wind down in peace at the library there is free WiFi for members

4. McDonalds
Everyone know's good old Maccas has free WiFi. Why not grab a coffee or snack and sit back and surf the net. 

5. Open House Hervey Bay
This cute little café and houseware store promotes free WiFi for customers

6. Coffee Club Stocklands
It is almost free - if you grab a tea or coffee you're welcome to jump on the net at Coffee Club at Stocklands while taking a break from shopping.

7. Dan Murphy's
If you need to look up cocktail recipes or maybe surf the net to match your wine with dinner, Dan Murphy's has free WiFi for customers.

8. Bunnings
You can jump onto the net with free WiFi while doing the weekend run to Bunnings.
